The Triple Tradition:  Matthew, Mark, and Luke

Monday mornings 8:30-9:30 am at Candice Frazer’s house

Monday evenings at 6:00 for sips and snacks 6:30-7:30 pm for study at various parishioner’s homes

This course will study the Synoptic Gospels, comparing and contrasting the various stories each writer includes in their story of Jesus.  The Synoptic Gospels are not the only gospels, John is part of our Biblical canon, but there are many non-canonical gospels as well.  We will discuss why particular stories were included and others not as well as what the motivation for each author might have been.  In doing so, we will explore the various audiences the authors hoped to reach and how that might have shaped their message and how the Scriptures were read.

Plus, Its just fun to talk about Jesus!
