Men's Group

Men’s Group
Led by the Rev. Jamie Osborne

Meetings at 6pm

This group seeks to provide an environment of stimulating and respectful theological conversation for the men of our faith community.  Along the way, we’ve discovered that new and sometimes surprising friendships arise in the process!  Conversations focus on readings, videos or other media selected for each week by our clergy, and each session closes with a prayer service called An Order for Compline.  Past topics have included Christian ethics, prayer, poets Kay Ryan and W.H. Auden, the creeds, and contemporary theological and scientific perspectives on the origins of human life.  On the 1st Monday of each month, the group will go out to dinner, on all other Mondays,  the group gathers in the St. John’s library.  Dinner is provided and participants periodically throw in cash to defray meal costs.  Contact Jamie to be added to the email distribution list

Priest-Led Bible Study

Led by The Rev. Robert Wisnewski, The Rev. Dr. Deonna Neal or The Rev. Jamie Osborne

Every Monday at noon, one of our priests will give a presentation on the lectionary (The three Bible readings and the psalm) appointed for the following Sunday. Time for prayer and reflection is provided
People are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch for this event.
