St. John’s offers several different types of weekday Bible Studies:
Led by the Rev. Jamie Osborne
Meetings at 6pm
This group seeks to provide an environment of stimulating and respectful theological conversation for the men of our faith community. Along the way, we’ve discovered that new and sometimes surprising friendships arise in the process! Conversations focus on readings, videos or other media selected for each week by our clergy, and each session closes with a prayer service called An Order for Compline. Past topics have included Christian ethics, prayer, poets Kay Ryan and W.H. Auden, the creeds, and contemporary theological and scientific perspectives on the origins of human life. On the 1st Monday of each month, the group will go out to dinner, on all other Mondays, the group gathers in the St. John’s library. Dinner is provided and participants periodically throw in cash to defray meal costs. Contact Jamie to be added to the email distribution list firstname.lastname@example.org
