Youth Sunday is April 18, and we invite you all to attend this EYC led event! Stewart Miller (one of our graduating seniors) will be preaching the sermon, and the remainder of our youth (7th-12th graders) will serve as ushers and lectors. If you can’t make it in person, we invite you to watch it via livestream.
There will be NO Children’s chapel during this service, and we encourage children of all ages to attend.
Nursery care will be provided for children ages 3 and younger.
The youth of St. John’s play an active and vital role in our parish. EYC (Episcopal Youth Community) is for teens in the 7th through 12th grades. EYC is a place for youth to safely explore and deepen their relationship with Christ, learn more about the Episcopal Church, and live into their Baptismal Covenant by serving the world around them.
We share our time with fellowship, food, worship, and fun! Most Sunday evenings youth and volunteers will meet on the 3rd floor from 5:00-7:30. We’ll begin with an activity followed by dinner and worship. Junior and Senior EYCs are split for activities and games, but we eat together. Throughout the school year we’ll take trips, do service work, and hang out around town. Sometimes those events will take place during our regular EYC time. Check back often for calendar information and details about events!
