This year I will pledge with a truly grateful heart. St John’s has held a special place in my life through joy in baptisms and weddings and also in sadness in funerals. I have been a member of this church for 44 years and it has become more than just a place I worship on Sundays. It is a place where I have found encouragement and strength. It is a place where I have grown in my faith and my relationship with God. I appreciate what my church has provided for me and I feel a making a pledge is a way to give back.
My pledge will help pay the staff, building costs, utilities and our outreach programs. It is my way of investing in something I value. I pray St. John’s will always be a place where people can find hope, healing, encouragement and the love of God.
I encourage everyone to join me in pledging this year, to give as much as you can. Give not because you’re asked to but because you have the opportunity to make a difference for our church and God’s kingdom.
