Christian spiritual formation is the process of being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ for the glory of God and for the sake of others (II Corinthians 3:17-18). The focus of spiritual formation is the Holy Spirit, who guides the ongoing journey towards union with God. The response is submission.

St. John’s offers Christian Formation opportunities tailored to adults, youth, and children. The Rector’s Forum is held each Sunday at 9:15 in the Library. This group will discuss scripture and topics related to that day’s sermon.

Spiritual Expression

Part of Spiritual Expression is taking time to encourage ourselves to see more of who we are, what we believe God to be, and how God loves and guides us in our daily lives. You do not have to be an artist or even artistic in any way to participate in this brief introductory class. Each week will be a different example of one of the many ways to help engage your understanding of your creative expression and possibly help you connect on a deeper level to yourself and your relationship to God. Class will meet from 9:15 until 10:15 in the small dining room off the Parish Hall.
