This weekend I walked around the Parish Hall looking at portraits of people you have sent out from your congregation for further work. In addition to the Bishops looking down are numerous priests whose portraits do not circle that hall.
Coming up on 200 years you have been a congregation that nurtures Christians to go from your midst to minister in Jesus’ name. I am now one of them, and I am joining another child of yours in her ministry.
I thank you for 14 years of making music among you.
I quote a great musician, a great human, and someone I admire:
“I hope life treats you kind;
And I hope you have all you’ve dreamed of
And I wish you joy and happiness
But above all this, I wish you love.”
