Las Posadas Tradition

Las Posadas is an old Spanish custom that celebrates Mary and Joseph seeking shelter in Bethlehem on Christmas Eve. The Holy Family (tall plastic figures) will begin their journey on the first Sunday of Advent, December 1. They will spend one night with each family and need to be transported to the next family each day before dark. They will return to church on Christmas Eve during the Children's 5 p.m. service.
